Our primary education program focuses on building a strong foundation for young learners. We provide a well-rounded curriculum that nurtures academic growth, personal development, and social skills. Our dedicated teachers create a supportive environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential.

Pam Burley
Secretary

Pam believes in the power of community – to identify opportunities and to seek their own solutions whether that community is a small team, community group, small or large organisation, business or government agency.

A long serving member on the board of SDIEA, Pam believes in the work of the organisation and its identified purpose of “Creating Community Value”. The values of “inspiring and fostering individual growth” align strongly with her personal values.

Pam has experience across state government, private business, education, agriculture, and community work. She also has a long history of volunteering within her community, with roles in community recovery following 2011 floods and the drought that followed.

Jo McNally
Community Representative

Jo is currently studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education Majoring in English and History. Her previous work experience includes 14 years as Councillor at Southern Downs Regional Council where she also served as Deputy Mayor and a Queensland Police Officer. A Warwick resident for over 30 years, she is a dedicated volunteer in the community, including Board positions on Zonta Warwick as Treasurer, Secretary of WillowTree37, a service that provides a safe space and new beginning where women in need can grow stronger together, and is a Board Member of Club Warwick RSL. She was Past President and Life Member of Australian Local Government Women’s Association Inc. (Queensland) and is a passionate advocate for improving the lives of girls and women in the community. Jo is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (2018) and a holds a Certificate in Governance and Risk Management from the Governance Institute of Australia (2020).

Morwenna Harslett

Council Representative

Morwenna Harslett is a Councillor with the Southern Downs Regional Council, where she holds the Inspired Communities portfolio, encompassing arts, culture, heritage, youth, and education. She brings over 20 years of diverse leadership experience across education, small business, and community development, including a decade as owner-operator of a successful retail garden centre and a decade teaching in primary and secondary schools across Western Australia and Queensland.

A committed advocate for regional arts and culture, Morwenna holds executive committee roles with the Southern Downs String Ensemble, Stanthorpe Little Theatre, and Granite Belt Art & Craft Trail, and has contributed to a range of local organisations including the Amiens History Association, Granite Belt Choir, and Border District Eisteddfod. She combines strategic governance skills with a deep commitment to building vibrant, connected communities across the Southern Downs.

Lisa Jones

Centre Manager

Lisa began her journey with SDIEA as a Program Supervisor, leading Business and Hospitality Work Skills Traineeships along with a variety of Community Work Skills courses. In January 2025, she stepped into the role of Centre Manager, where she now leads a supportive and dedicated team with a strong focus on collaboration and participant success.

Lisa holds a Diploma of Leadership and Management, a Diploma of Community Services, as well as certifications in First Aid and Mental Health First Aid. Her broad range of qualifications also includes Business Administration, Hospitality, and Early Childhood Education and Care - all closely aligned with the programs offered at SDIEA.

With a background in the Employment Services sector, Lisa understands the critical role that training and personal resilience play in helping individuals achieve their goals. She is deeply committed to ensuring SDIEA participants are job-ready and empowered to take the next steps toward meaningful and rewarding careers.

As Centre Manager, Lisa leads by example, embodying SDIEA’s values of inspiring and fostering individual growth while creating lasting value within the community.
